Ice Patch Hollow Indoor Playground is currently seeking Playground Attendants to join their brand-new team. We are looking for full-time positions to open our first indoor playground in Bedford, NS. We are looking for team players who are customer focused, able to keep their heads up in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment and who understand the importance of an amazing family experience when visiting our playground!
Reporting directly to the Owner, the Playground Attendant will be responsible to be the primary point of contact for families visiting Ice Patch Hollow to ensure each and every guest has a superior experience while visiting. The Attendant must ensure that they are constantly aware of everything that is going on in the playground (a busy and interactive environment) in order to be able to proactively anticipate guests needs and ensure they are met.
Responsibilities will include:
- greeting guests in a timely fashion, determining their needs and taking their payments for tickets and snack bar items.
- ensuring that the snack bar area is kept clean and organized and that stock is replenished as needed.
- ensuring guests are served their food in a professional and friendly manner.
- carrying out open and close cash activities ensuring that cash register/POS balances according to Ice Patch Hollow policies.
- checking in with guests regarding their experience.
- resolving any guest concern or complaint, escalating to the Owner as required based on current Ice Patch Hollow policies.
- explaining the playground set up and rules for all areas to our guests.
- ensuring that all areas of Ice Patch Hollow are kept clean and tidy.
The successful candidate will have:
- Completion of or enrollment in an approved college diploma program in early childhood education (ECE) would be an asset
- Certifications in First aid, Food handling, WHMIS, and CPR
- 1 years’ experience working in a customer service position, retail (food or coffee industry preferred), daycare or similar experience working with children
- Experience working with a POS system would be an asset

This position must be available Monday through Sunday, day shifts only. Overtime is not regularly required but may be based on operational need and is a condition of employment. Full-time hours will entail 40 hours/week.
